Membership

Joining CfER helps show that there is a strong group of committed, politically diverse supporters and activists working for electoral reform in California. It helps us accumulate a modest budget that enables our group to maintain a presence on the political scene and on the web, educate fellow Californians, and keep our group organized and informed.

Your membership entitles you to receive CfER's newsletter, Voice for Democracy, participate in CfER email lists, and vote in CfER elections and issue polls.

You can decide which type of membership is best for you:

• One year memberships at several levels.
  • Standard - $25
  • $50
  • $75
  • Low budget - $6
• Sustainer memberships are for those who can contribute more. We can arrange several payment plans. We have a number of sustainers who contribute between $60 and $600 annually.
  • Annual ($60 or more per year)
  • Semi-annual ($30 or more every six months)
  • Quarterly ($15 or more per quarter)
  • Monthly ($5 or more per month)

To join, renew an expired membership, or get more information, use our form or send email to with your name, address, and phone number. You can also write to us at the address shown above. Please indicate the level at which you would like to join.

We will sign you up as a provisional member immediately, and start sending you newsletters and occasionally other information. We have a convenient billing system and may add electronic transactions in the future.

Except for low budget memberships, a small portion of your dues payment is sent to FairVote -- The Center for Voting and Democracy, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to full representation. Efforts by FairVote and its staff have been extremely valuable to the California election reform movement.
