Speakers
and Training Available
Would
you like a speaker for a community group or a high school civics class?
CfER has many excellent speakers. Just contact us, giving us two to four
weeks warning, and we will gladly provide an entertaining and
knowledgeable speaker (or speakers) for your event. Would
your local chapter like some training? Most workshops are on how to
speak about IRV and/or proportional voting, but we can provide workshops
on almost any subject that would help a local chapter. In the past,
for example, we've done many speaker training sessions, but we've also
done workshops on how to run a local campaign, leadership skills, how to
count an election for a local organization, and other topics. [Editor’s
note: Marin Ranked Voting hosted a speaker training workshop on December
17 and strongly recommends it!] The
training workshops require a lot of effort, so you need to have at least
six people guaranteed to attend, and the date has be mutually agreeable
with the trainer. Trainers usually must be scheduled four to 12 weeks
in advance. If you'd like to have a speaker or a workshop, contact the Speakers/Training Coordinator, Jim Lindsay, at or 510-527-8025. Jim Lindsay, Speakers Bureau/Training Coordinator |
