Californians for Electoral Reform opposes Proposition 14 on the June 8, 2010 statewide ballot. Almost all of our work on this issue is being done through participation in StopTopTwo.org, a broad coalition that includes many electoral reform and ballot access organizations, as well as all six ballot qualified political parties. This page provides links to the documents we have produced as part of the campaign, as well as links to selected background materials.
This is literature you can download, print and distribute freely. These documents are in Adobe Acrobat format; right-click and choose "Save As".
In addition to the individual articles listed here, board member Richard Winger reports and comments extensively on Prop 14 at Ballot Access News.
Note: CfER members have also written articles on behalf of their respective political parties, which are not included here.
For an extensive selection of editorials and columns from a wide range of political viewpoints, please visit StopTopTwo.org. Included in the following list are background documents from non-partisan sources. We don't agree with all of the conclusions stated in these studies, but we think you should be aware of them. Note that two of the research reports misuse the term "open primary" in their titles.
