At least one North Carolina city will participate in its state's instant runoff voting pilot this fall; Aspen (CO) is holding its first IRV elections this May; Burlington (VT) had a model IRV election for mayor with 99.99% valid ballots in a race with four strong candidates; and the number of colleges and universities using IRV and choice voting his risen to more than 50, including many of California's leading universities.
FairVote Lowell (www.fairvotelowell.org) has formed in Massachusetts to push for a choice voting ballot measure this November, while FairVote Minnesota (www.fairvotemn.org) has earned steadily growing support for the first use of IRV and choice voting in Minneapolis for city elections this November, and for upcoming campaigns for IRV in St. Paul and Duluth.
